Is There a Gender Bias in Economics?

Economics is quite different from many of the other fields, and that what people think it's about isn't necessarily what it is about. Women enter universities thinking that they don't want a major in economics because they don't know what economics is. And how do we reduce that bias? We reduce it by assuring those individuals that the all the individuals who ware brought in, who ware in under represented minority groups are just as good. So credentialising, for example, is one way of getting around this problem. Show to the extent that women and under represented minorities demonstrate that they are equal, then that would get around.
