Upper Lip Bite Test: A Predictive Value and Specificity

In patients who have normal anatomy, what you should find is that normal mouth opening should be about three of the patient's finger breaths. And that if they have 332 or more, then that's good. There are a few studies out there now looking at a couple of different things to look at,. One of which is the upper lip bite test. This is something we now have incorporated into our electronic medical record system.
