Quantum Theory Is Not Fundamental
The notion of space and time or spacetime has no operational meaning below the Planck scale. And so it's doomed. It's not a fundamental. In fact, from my point of view, it's a very shallow structure. Space time falls apart at 10 to the minus 33 centimeters. Quantum theory is not fundamental either. This is what physicists like Nima Arkani-Hamed are saying - we need a theory beyond space time that gives rise to space time. The new structures beyond space time could completely transform our study of consciousness.
