Tories in opposition, when they move towards election winning positions, aren't so cautious. It's a myth that the 79 manifesto was sort of cautiously expedient. In power, those early budgets were evangelical in their boldness. And I do sometimes wonder whether caution is risky. Certainly will be in government, but in the build up to. But thank you for explaining because it's always important to do so. How bloody difficult it is being in opposition as Labour in any context. It is really hard.
