Amazon Laying Off 9,000 Employees, 27,000 in Total
Amazon announced an additional 9,000 employees would be laid off. The cuts were already the largest round of layoffs in the company's history. This indicates that there is probably still a downward pressure on growth rates in Amazon's cloud unit. Kara Brennan, Chief People Officer over at LaTisse: It seems like a drop in the ocean compared to 300,000 corporate jobs.
