When jane torned eighteen, she left for college and all women's school. She thought she would be able to explore a new side of herself. College wasn't what she had expected - it was secretarial courses and pleated skirts. One day i just happened to see a brochur from an organization called scandinavian seminars. The programme promised a semester abroad,. far from her family, college and any one who knew her. So without telling anybody about my fledgling plans, i wrote to them for more information. And when that packet arrived, i can't tell you how many times i took it out and read it over-over again. It was having a secret lover....
