Born Perry Baker in 1876, he met his changed his name to Pierre. He meets his first yogi at age 13 in Eastern Nebraska. The occult is really sort of taking off in popular culture. As a kid, Perry's super into this stuff. So when he runs across an Indian yogi named Sylvace Hamadi, who's a practitioner of Hatha yoga, he's really he's down with what this guy is teaching.
