Sea Horses - The Family Name, Signathods

This overall group is called the signathods, and that name refers to their fused jaw together jaw. All of them have that fused jaw, and a number of other sea horse features are shared across this group. These are found among an order called the sinathfornes,. which include a bunch of kind of similarly shaped things or similarly looking ishA lot of them have long or fused ish jaws, but are not signathids, not signathede, which we will get into. This overall group includes things like the trumpet fish, cornet fish, snipe fishes, shrimp fishes all of which have a not quite sea horse looked to them, but you can see
