God Wrestles Jacob to the End of Himself

God is wrestling Jacob to the end of himself. God wounds Jacob's body to mend his soul. There are far worse things than defeat and unchecked self-reliance is one of them. And so finally, as dawn is about to break, God flexes a little bit and just touches his hip and, all right, comes right out of joint.
