What Are the Recent Advances in Hypothermia?
Hypothermia can have profound effects on the cardiovascular system. Patients can become bradycardic, and there are other changes in blood pressure due to vasoconstriction as well. We will also be performing routine observations and probably a venous blood gas fairly on in their presentation. And again, this can show some changes which might point to a compromised secondary type of thermia.
