The Different Definitions of Memory in the Ecological Approach
In the ecological approach, perception is a process that doesn't have a beginning or an end. And so perception is necessarily directed toward future but it's also directed at past. Anything that makes a change in the way that you engage with the world going forward is a memory of a kind. There's no point at which the present becomes the past. You can do it in a very general sense that 15 years ago is certainly the past and 15 years from now was certainly the future.
