Bogus's greed led him to try to get the lowest possible price. Bogus could have offered Rummens a five percent of that price and Rummens would definitely still have accepted, right? Was five percent of half a million. He didn't need to try and get it for such a ridiculously low price. If he had just gone in and negotiated fairly, without lying, without pretending to be a person, he probably would still have got the commode - albeit at a higher price.
