The Trial of Mary Warren

Eight women accused of witchcraft were taken to salem town for trial. One woman recanted her confession, denying that she was ever a witch. She claimed the visions she had described had been nothing more than stories she made up to distract the authorities. If mary warren's testimony was false, then they should all be released and sent home. The day before the trial were to begin, judge Samuel willard preached from the book of first peter. He told the congregation our world was full of invisible forces bent on our destruction.
