In the early 1960s Foucault gets a position to teach at the University of Clemau-Ferrin in central France. He is teaching psychology but he's also doing research for his own work. The Vincent period is an important one in terms of some of the themes of Foucault's work, but it's also one that he almost can't wait to get out of.
