CHAPTER

Learning Is a Cycle of Learning

There are cycles of new learning automatization, undoing automatization and new reorganised automatization. You don't want to automatise things which you end up undoing - that's kind of inefficient. Learning is a cycle of probing the world, doing something, reflecting in and on this action and then forming a hypothesis. This principle is very bad. It's encouraging discovery learning, which is really inefficient. Don't follow that principle. There are multiple ways to make progress or move ahead. This allows learners to rely on their own strengths and styles of learning and problem solving while also exploring alternative styles.
