The Impact Factor

I don't think in our discussions every day at the lanse, and you know this, both of you, we don't talk about decisions in the context of impact factor. We don't write an editorial thinking, how many citations werl this editorial get? And we don't publishd articles based upon the number of citations. This is where the relationship becomes very difficult. I mean, i would say to you, jessamer, you sit in those meetings, have we ever had a discussion where we say, we must publish this paper because this is going to get a massive number of citations? That's not why we exist. Neither should the creation of any journal be about
