Swanser says he grew up in a house filled with books. He was also the kind of kid that just saw the books on the shelf and wanted to read them. Swanser: I wasn't raised a Christian as as you know my dad converted sort of while we were growing up. But it never even occurred to me that that would sort of shut me off from this rich richness, said Swanser.
