Father Ramsey: The future is not now. And there's lots of people who already did now. So obviously he's talking about something which is to come and which is the final day. He says they don't come into judgment. When he uses judgment there, he's very clearly talking about punishment. They're suffering in the afterlife. This is postmortem suffering and it's purification.
