Isometric Contraction in the First Two Weeks
Isometrics are a great way to balance out strength output and give the body the range of motion needs on both sides. It's like controlling the rest of my body in the kinetic chain and being able to isolate a joint so it can move freely. A lot of what we do in the first two weeks is similar to this. So when you're trying to train unilaterally, you're probably going to have one side that's stronger the other doing a week or two of isometrics in the beginning is going to help you with your unilateral training.
