Functional Languages - I'm Over the Hump

I'm responsible partially for making object oriented programming seem like a good idea. But you have to have a certain amount of exposure to this other style before it seems natural. How do we make functional languages make sense to people who are used to Object Oriented Programming? And yeah, that's what we've been struggling away for a while.
