Replicating experiments that have already been conducted isn't seen as a career enhancing move in the sciences. What, if anything, is being done to encourage people to try to reproduce studies e replication is an important part of science because it's how we establish the reliability of finding. There are some things that are changing: journals are changing their policies to be more welcoming of replications. It is becoming easier to do replications because researchers are sharing their materials and data to a greater extent.
