The VAMI-Ketra for in-Hospital Car Arrest
VAMI-Ketra is vasopressin and methyl prednisolone for in-hospital car arrest. The primary outcome was return of spontaneous circulation but we also looked at some key secondary outcomes including survival and a favorable neurological outcome up to one year after the cardiac arrest. We had screened 2,362 patients and excluded quite a number of patients based on different reasons. First of all there was a large number of patients who never received adrenaline. It was commonly because they had a shockable rhythm and was defibrillated out of their cardiac arrest or because the clinical team quickly recognized that CPR and further care was not indicated for them.
