The Thorny Thing of Spirituality

Atheists are often accused of a blunt approach to life because they lack spirituality. I think that atheists have at their fingertips all sorts of possibilities to get in touch with feelings that are not religious, but close to what religions promote. A lot of what's consoling about religion is that you adopt a new perspective on yourself and on your life as it were a cosmic perspective.
