The Importance of Beauty in Dante's Dreams
Dante's third dream dreams are so significant because they speak to us as to the nature of our inner life. He now knows that there's a part of him that can experience the divine with this experience of beauty and love but not riddled with possessiveness or distorted perverted passion. As he ascends through paradise it again begins quite shockingly because Dante actually meets Beatrice at the top of Mount Purgatory.
