Ukrainians Have to Decide What Peace Looks Like
China's foreign minister suggested there might be some kind of peace document that they may be publishing on the anniversary this Friday. There is only one country that can promote a peace outcome, and that's Ukrainian. Ukraine is determined to push Russian troops back. They have already denied Russia any of their strategic objectives in this invasion. And so they continue to do that in the expectation that at some point, with the right assistance, having pushed them back far enough, the Russian government may understand that there is more sense in coming in good faith to a negotiating table.
