The Importance of Exiles in the Church
In the early weeks and months of the pandemic, there was a lot of jockeying back and forth. As I read First Peter, I thought, I'm not sure we're hearing the voice of exiles or strangers or so-journers. The book then sort of helped me ethically think through some things, I think. That's how it started, really. And then I ended up preaching it to my congregation. But that's tough preaching to a camera, even for someone who's on a camera all the time. It is not the same.
