Is Baseline Profiles a Go Fast Feature?

I think this is a difficult thing to thread as Romont said earlier, but the analogy that I like to make is more along the lines of where ProGuard sits in the ecosystem. It's just if you end up thinking that this one thing is really critical for your application, your library or something, then you have the power to give that hint to the runtime. We actually modeled some of the way this works around ProGuard where you can attach ProGuard rules to an AAR.
