Deception Networks - A Critical Part of Data Loss Prevention

Building successful deception net works is at least 50% technical, savy and 50% art. The people that do this kind work are a rare mix of electronic hacker, mentality, network engineering, social engineering and english major. Since i was doing in the army back in the early two thousands, the technology piece has gotten away easier to manage. I would absolutely prioritize identifying your c u i or mater data and architect away to encript it at rest as it resides on all of your data islands  and as it transits from island to island and away from your control.
