In the absence of account abstraction you basically users have to make this choice and either trust some custodian that will give them an easy to use like user experience or they don't. The kind of traction ethereum can build lets you be more much more flexible about how these keys how a key maps to the idea of an account and allow them to be swapped in and out allowed third parties to hold keys on your behalf.
