And what is missing there is how you are thinking when you walk into these discussions about performance. So despite Max's ability to try to follow the script, his body language, his impromptu words, his tone of voice, it all betrayed him. His careful script was worthless because the employee knew exactly what he was thinking and where he was going. He went off feeling confident and, you know, ready to go.
