Changing the Orbit Off Its Own Orbit

The planet is capable of tremendous feats, like it's actually capable of changing the orbit off itself and changing alignmen. So clearly, this world, consciousness is processing things. It's able to create uncanny duplicates of people. Ski's film doesn't show us any of this all it shows is kind of the central dramatic event,. as a scientist is sent to a research lab that's in orbit over solaris, and everybody has died or gone insane.
