The Soviet Union deliberately chose a place called Hatian, which to Westerners at least is really not very different to Catian. The historian Norman Davis has argued that this was deeply, deeply cynical and deliberate attempt to basically confuse anyone who might try and look up Catian massacre. And of course it wasn't until Glasnoss and Paris-Dryka that the Soviet Union really kind of admitted what had happened. But it's kind of a reminder of the fact that, you know, these things are never clear cut.
