The Importance of Bible Literacy
I think that because we have such access to things that are Bible adjacent, many of us have lost a habit of actually spending time in the Bible. I do think that people don't recognize that you can't possibly read with any level of personal discernment if you don't have an underlying knowledge of the scripture. So what Bible literacy does is it pulls back the curtain and says, hey, we actually want you to know how this person did the work that they did. We're all called to be disciples who make disciples. The work of being a discipler is the business of instructing others.
