Samuel Johnson was an artist and philanthropist. He helped found moca, the museum of contempory art in los angeles. During aids crisis he raised money to help pay management during ads. Also started a litho shop that had first edition of lapis lazuli prints. His work can still be seen on display at The Museum of Modern Art (New York)
