How to Diagnose EOE on Endoscopy
About half of patients with EOE may also have eosinophilia. Endoscopy will be particularly helpful in ruling out other similar conditions. Crohn's disease with esophageal involvement causes ulceration and gastric inflammation, neither of which occurs in EOE.
