The Importance of Reflecting on Uncertainty

In responding to uncertainty, it also requires clinicians to explore how patients feel about it. So our work suggests is that this closing uncertainty upfront and being subsequently clear about what the current population-based evidence suggests might be quite helpful. I think the other way that might be helpful is to perhaps focus on the things that we have more certainty about and discuss how to proceed despite uncertainties because there is a nice quote from Anne Marie-Mole that says that doubt doesn't preclude action.
