It's possible that our Pearl, AKA Lily Davy, might have been working for her and just liked the sound of the name and took it on herself. But eventually she's just too well known by police to continue living freely in the way she wants. So she finally starts her journey west via Ohio and Illinois. And she's not even 20 years old at this point.
