The Primary Reason Why We Can't Rethink Our Food System

Under capitalism, anything that's efficient in terms of time and taking advantage of things like scale ability is always going to be more efficient when you're doing it on a massive, global scale. But this is the primary reason why we can't really fundamentally rethink our food system until things either fall apart, or capitalism no longer exists.
