The Importance of Discipline in Code

In the code, you can see good practices. So like an example might be the inclusion of unit tests and maybe the way some of that stuff is structured. Like I'm always that guy that straddles the line between practicality and pretty code. It's a tough one for me because I don't think anybody would ever look at my code and say it's bad. For me, a good developer is somebody that I follow along and I understand why they did things.
