Miguel Cabrera won the triple crown in 2012 and was better in 2013. His OPS was up 80 points, his batting average was 348 compared to 330 had the same number of homers. And both years to Tigers won the division. The only other one to win back to back in that span is Frank Thomas who in 93 helped the White Sox and a 10 year playoff drought. Unless Aaron judge hit 65, 68 homer and the Yankees win the division by 15 games, it's not happening this year.
