A friend of mine, her husband owned a one of the very important early reggae record labels. She said that they were in Jamaica doing some record deals and we're doing one with Lee Scratch Perry. And she said that he was like, Oh yeah, well, you all come over to my house. He took them into his backyard and was showing them all the trees in the entire backyard. They were covered in tiny little hand engraved symbols. So he basically like spins all of this time and out there in the backyard, engraving his own little language into all the trees.
