How to Praise God When You're Sick
I was in bed writhing in pain and it was so, it was so bad. I called my mom one day to ask her what she did when she was sick. She said, I just praise God. That's just the woman that raised me that I love so much. And so I did. As I would go through those really hard experiences, I would feel this closeness to God. So even though I was suffering, I wasn't being left alone. It turned what was really hard into just transformative, sacred experience.
