I think this is related to depression and to the feelings that you had around your divorce. I don't know what I hoped I would feel, but whatever it was, I didn't feel it. And a question I had, and I still haven't wrestled it to the ground is how soon after being dispatched to a death camp or a labor camp or a slave camp, did the individual prisoner's concern over like their marriage, their career, their money, their looks, their fears, their joys? Like at what point did all that disappear to be replaced by black and white survival? You wonder like how that would work for us.
