The Importance of Independent Relationships

I'm only recently understood that the paradigm that you're describing where relationships are a threat to your freedom, independence, and self actualization. I couldn't have even put words to it because it was so obvious that that is what a relationship was to me. It's like every example said in media, and we're not robots here. So I don't think there is a great, a whole lot of great examples out there of what the right relationship looks like.
