A Spacecraft Landing That Doesn't Really Work
The atmosphere of Venus is 95% carbon dioxide. It's 75 to 100 times the pressure on your skin, and spacecraft don't like it either. This made everyone in the various space agencies rethink how they design landers going to Venus. And also making science fiction writers a little bit sad because colonies in Venus just aren't in our future.
