The Importance of Prayer in Pain
David: "I lie down in the midst of fiery beasts, the children of man whose teeth are spears and arrows" David knows it's not about him and his kingdom, so he's willing for his reputation to suffer if it will exalt God. He prays for relief, but his primary prayer is for God to be exalted. This is one of the primary differences between David and Saul.
