Primary Schools - Are There More Female Teachers Than Male Teachers?

Primary schools have been predominantly female teachers for many, many years. There's a big mix of factors going on - there was never a statement that primary schools should only be for women. And i think there's a kind of ideological side to it as well. So am, for many years, assumptions that teaching am younger children has some sort of affinities with child's care and with nurturing qualities and so on.
