The Death Pony: A Black Man's Story
The 85 people sentenced to death between 1983 and 2020, all of whom were found not to be guilty of the crimes for which they are sentenced. 13 of them spent 30 years or more in prison; 12 of the 13 were black. Glenn Ford had an all white jury because the prosecutor struck the African Americans in jury selection to get an allwhite jury. He was released as you know it until 30 years later in March of 2014 when prosecutors actually admitted they'd never had a case against him.
