The Importance of Listening
In second grade, my dad used to drop me off at school and he had this big blue ugly truck. He'd say, remember, it's better to listen than to talk. It took me a long time to absorb this advice because despite his daily reminders, I constantly got in trouble for talking. And now I feel very guilty about being embarrassed about that truck.
