The Mozart Effect

The idea that if you study chess, you become very good at chess has been disproven. The Mozart effect was an idea that you could play classical music for babies and they'd end up being really smart. When I came back to music after 10 years, I had to completely rebuild my keyboard technique. It's a matter of putting the patterns we see in markets in perspective with the big picture.
